Zoom In: The restaurant, known for its beef brisket and smoked meats, will debut next year at the Salvage Yard, which is phase two of the Raleigh Iron Works development.

  • The restaurant will have more than 8,000 square feet of space, as well as a 1,600-square-foot commercial smokehouse.
  • Lewis Barbecue joins Triangle Rock Club, NOCO Brewery from the Bond Brothers, Cannonball Music Hall, Peach Lab, Mami Nora’s and Tilden’s Car Care as a tenant in Salvage Yard.

Zoom out: In addition to Charleston, Lewis, founded by pitmaster John Lewis, has a location in Greenville, S.C., and one planned for Atlanta.
